![]() Other's mentioned SilencerCo and they make the Saker ASR 762 and the Chimera 300, which would be tough cans and would also give you multiple mounting options, besides just the SilencerCo ASR mounts. Surefire's FH's and MB's are quite expensive (none of them are necessarily cheap, but SF will be the most expensive of the bunch). That's not a bad thing, just limits you to using their FH's and MB's. Rugged and Surefire also make great cans, than are super tough, like the VOX and Sandman, but they too, will use their own proprietary qd mounts. Dead Air does make their new NOMAD series, which will allow all of these same mounts, but the NOMAD series isn't quite as robust as the Sandman or VOX series cans, but because they have a larger diameter (more volume) they will be quieter, shooting apples to apples. The Energetic Armament VOX series will work with Direct Thread Mounts (1/2x28 or 5/8x24), the Dead Air KeyMo mount, the SilencerCo ASR Mount, Q's Plan B mount, as well as a few more popular mounts, from other manufacturers. The main difference will be that the Dead Air Sandman series will use their proprietary KeyMo qd mount, which will require their KeyMo FH's and MB's. Like the Dead Air Sandman series, they're very tough, no barrel length restrictions and full-auto rated. Energetic Armament VOX series (ideally the S, as the K is really too small to be very effective, same goes for the Dead Air Sandman K) is a great set up and would give you a host of different mounting options. ![]() You've got a ton of options in this field, so you really just need to decide if you want a direct thread or a qd mount. You will get comparable, if not better, sound suppression on your 5.56/.223 and most quality 30 cal cans will allow you to run all the way up to a. I would steer you towards another 30 cal can, personally.
